| Francis R. McAllister, CEO of the Stillwater Mining Company, told investors yesterday that the East Boulder Mine will operate in 2009, but will reduce production and operate with fewer emloyees. The company, which mines platinum and palladium, is taking a direct hit from the slumping U.S. auto industry, with its stock hitting an all time low.
